  Spurlin is a ghost town in northwestern Hamilton County, Texas. It was laid out on the Stephenville North and South Texas Railway in 1908–1909 and named for its promoter, the Hamilton merchant John L. Spurlin. It had a church and a business in 1936 and had disappeared from maps by the late 1980s.

  John L. Spurlin (1853–1935), a Hamilton merchant, banker and railroad promoter and a nephew of John H. Reagan, was a founding director of the Hamilton National Bank in 1890 and gave his name to the railroad town of Spurlin in northwestern Hamilton County.
