Cindy Shore Spurlin is a former Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) softball player. She was a 1992 NJCAA All-American, set several school single-season records and entered the ABAC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2026.

Cindy Shore Spurlin is a former junior-college softball player at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, Georgia.[1]
Playing career
Spurlin played for coach Ellen Vickers. In 1992 she was named an NJCAA All-American and made the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association (GJCAA) All-Conference team.[1] ABAC won the GJCAA conference title that season and finished as national runner-up.[1] She set ABAC single-season records for runs scored (100), hits (132), doubles (21) and at-bats (253).[1][2]
Hall of Fame
Spurlin was one of four people inducted into the ABAC Athletic Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Gressette Gymnasium, at the end of the college's homecoming weekend. Eric Callaway, ABAC's assistant vice president of marketing and communication, inducted her. It was the first induction ceremony since ABAC Athletics joined the NAIA.[1][2] The hall of fame's website lists her in its 2026 class for softball.[3]
Former ABAC volunteer softball coach Jimmy Spurlin was already in the same hall of fame as a contributor. ABAC announced him as part of its 2020 class in March 2020, and his hall-of-fame page lists his induction class as 2022.[4][5] Both sources say he helped coach the ABAC women's softball team as a volunteer from 1988 to 1994, the period that includes her playing years.[4][5] No source consulted states whether the two are related.
