The account @sherry_spurlin (display name "s_spurlin1") posts short videos about online fraud. Its bio reads "I will never ask for money", followed by a note that it promotes scam awareness, education and prevention, and a link to a Substack newsletter. In September 2026 it had about 31,100 followers and 635 videos.[1] Its videos cover romance scams and the way scammers move targets into private chats to isolate them.[2] An October 2025 video says that scammers "work in teams" and links to a "Scammers' Playbook" page on spurlindigital.com,[3] which returned a "page not found" error in September 2026.[4] The same material is cross-posted on Lemon8, where a post describes scams run by professional operations that use scripts and shifts.[5]

Viral moment
On April 7, 2026, NowThis Impact posted on TikTok the 2022 FOX 13 interview with 100-year-old World War II Marine veteran Carl Spurlin Dekle. The caption notes that Dekle died shortly after the interview first aired in August 2022. By September 2026 the post showed about 6.2 million plays, 884,000 likes and 42,200 shares.[7]
